Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is a Giclee Print?

A: Giclee (pronounced, zhee-clay) is a French word meaning "spray of water". A Giclee print is a digitally produced, high quality limited edition reproduction of an original work of art. The process of printing Giclee's involves state of the art technology combined with traditional craftsmanship, which produces a reproduction that is faithful to the original work of art, particularly in terms of color saturation. Giclee prints offer superior brilliance, detail and depth, which set them apart from traditional offset Lithography. I use only archival quality inks and papers to print my Giclees. I offer for purchase Giclee prints of many of my fine art watercolors, as well as all of the ketubah designs featured.

Q: Are the colors of the artwork I am viewing on my monitor true to the original paintings?

A: The images on this site reproduce the colors of my original paintings as closely as possible. When the images are first scanned, great care is taken to match color saturation, intensity and contrast. However, due to the many computer configurations available today, variations in color accuracy are likely. If you have questions about the color palette of a particular painting, contact me and I will be more than happy to "talk colors" with you!

Q: Do you paint custom orders?

A: I am delighted to discuss commissioned projects at any time.

Q: If I purchase an unframed original, can you frame it?

A: You can tell if a painting is available Framed, Matted or Unmatted, simply by looking at the key at the top of each gallery page, and then comparing that to the key icons located directly underneath each painting. I will be happy to have an Original painting professionally framed for you. The particular frame that I favor is a clean lined pewter wood frame. It has a contemporary gallery look and it compliments my artwork beautifully. I also prefer the contemporary look of an extra wide mat. I use only archival matting and framing and museum quality acid-free materials. Please call me to discuss custom framing options as well as pricing for this service.

Q: If I purchase an unframed print, can you frame it?

A: At this time, I regret that I am unable to provide framing for unframed prints in my collection, although it is important to note that many of the prints do come already matted. Prints that are available for sale already matted, come in standard size 11" x 14". This standard size make it convenient for you to purchase the frame of your own choosing.
